I agree-it is so important to keep prioritizing marriage and the relationship between a husband and wife. I think that too many times, spouses can go overboard with making everything “all about the kids” and leave their own relationship completely out of the picture-but this isn’t going to be good for them, or for their kids! Oooh, fondue sounds really yummy. That’s a cool idea-my husband and I may have to do that sometime! And I like that you bring up massage-it’s important for couples to intentionally touch and be with each other!!! One thing that I would add to this list is prayer. I once heard on a retreat that “you only have so much between you as you have above you,” and I think this carries a lot of truth. If a couple is-together-spiritually intimate with God, they will have a much deeper level of physical intimacy together.

I remember crying because keeping the flame burning while nursing was so challenging. It was a season and it was beautiful but the seasons do change and the hard parts end and new beautiful parts begin. Your words are so meaningful and I know they help a lot of women.
