Wow! Thank you for addressing an issue that, I think, is destroying our view of what it means to be a Christian. Everything is not ok! We do not need to be “part of the culture” to be relevant! You are correct that what we see cannot be unseen, it becomes a part of who we are. Jesus calls us to a higher standard. Let’s live to His standard, not that of the world.

Excellent post Becky.
I will say that I read this trilogy as all my friends recommended it. But it is not a love story. It is an abusive, controlling relationship. There is not consent in this relationship. So many people look at this as a healthy relationship but it is not. It is about an emotionally immature woman and a controlling man (who has issues of his own) who are in an unhealthy relationship. So I just don’t get the hype about these movies. It made me so angry to read . Christian Grey is not a good person. and is not the type of man I would want my daughters in a relationship with.

I didn’t see the first movie and have no intention of seeing this one but what you said about husband’s/family/life is truth!
I don’t remember where I read that “entertainment is the devil’s counterfeit for worship” but the older I get, I believe it may be true!
