It is Friday, and that means I am linking up with Lisa-Jo Baker and the women of Five Minute Friday. Simple concept… bloggers from all over “gather” and write for five mintues flat on one particular topic. Then, we link up here to share our thoughts. You should join us!

Today’s prompt: WRITE

GO.

I didn’t even know I liked to write…

I didn’t know that there were stories and truths that were already packaged in strings of relatable thought.  Streams of stories that have been pounding at my heart’s door waiting for the moment that I would decide to put pen to paper and let them out.

I didn’t recognize that sharing myself openly, that letting others see Him in me… would transform lives.

Would lead to countless emails and messages and comments of people spurring me on in the public expression of my heart.

There is something supremely fulfilling about saying the words that the Lord sets on fire inside of you, and then have them be received and shared by others.

It is the message of the Gospel. A thousand ways to tell hungry hearts God loves you.

He can be trusted because He is good.

He can be trusted because His motive is love.

If we can learn to trust Him, then we can learn to love Him in return.

We can learn to love ourselves…

We can learn to love others.

And in this we fulfill our purpose.

So, I write. I write about the truth that is no longer locked inside my heart. The truth that has always been designed to be lived out loud. The truth that didn’t need a stage or a microphone after all… but needed a computer screen and a passion to extend hope.

Hope that takes what I know is true of today and exchanges it for what God promises is true of tomorrow.

Consuming, captivating, contagious hope…

And so I write.
