If you haven’t heard by now, I love stopping by new boutiques! So, you can imagine my excitement when a sweet gal named Erika mentioned that I should check out Pearl Junkie in Enid! I decided that the next day I could find someone to watch my littles, I would drop by. What seemed like weeks passed and I couldn’t seem to find a day to go without them (stay at home mom problems.) So! I decided to take them with me. Ummm… I have done this three times before…

The first time I took my kids into a boutique, they were terrible – hiding in the dressing rooms, sitting under display racks. So, I didn’t mention that I was a style blogger… put on my sunglasses, paid quickly and left. I was there 5 minutes tops.
The next time, my children were angels. (I don’t know why I decided to try to take them into another boutique after the first fiasco, but I did.) – And they were great. My son picked up a necklace and brought it over to show me, and the woman behind the counter (owner) told him not to touch things and asked me to direct my children to leave things alone. She was not kind about it. Yikes. Aren’t I wonderful for not mentioning where this took place?!
The third time I took my kids into a boutique, the store owner was wonderful. My kids had a brief moment of chase around a display, but after a quick reminder that we don’t chase in a store and the promise of a sno cone – they were back to my sweet angels. (NO. I am not above bribery.)
So, back to the story.. I took my kids with me to Pearl Junkie, in Enid. They had a comfy little couch at the front for them to sit on while I looked around. Fantastic touch for shoppin’ mommas. After a few minutes, my son started to get antsy, and I told him, “You can get my phone out of my purse if you want.” – He digs in my bag, pulls out a necklace and comes running to me screaming, “Look what I found! You put this in here, mommy!” Oh my gosh. I had just ordered the necklace from Hazel & Olive and hadn’t decided on which necklace to wear that day – so I brought both. Nothing more embarrassing than my son pulling a necklace (with a tag still on it) from my purse, bringing it to the counter and declaring that I stuffed it into my bag! AWKWARD. The sweet girl at the counter understood, but I was all but ready to pull up my online receipt. Moral of the story? Don’t bring my littles boutique scouting with me. HeHe
At the end of the day, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience at Pearl Junkie. I walked into a precious little shop with AirONE (an online Christian radio station) playing in the background. I was greeted right away, and there were so many adorable tops, dresses and bottoms that were so reasonably priced and right on trend. I have been going a little jewelry crazy lately, but Pearl Junkie had some adorable pieces that I can’t wait to go back and snatch up! Actually, let’s leave the jewelry grabbing references out of this. 😉 I can’t wait to go back and purchase them! HAHA.

This lightning bolt muscle-tee is my favorite find from the day! I think it would be great with a pair of camo shorts or even a bright pair of skinny jeans and wedges for cooler summer nights. But, here’s the scoop. I don’t have either of those, so cut off shorts is my way to go! I’d love to hear your suggestions as well!
